Greg Reid founded Sunshine Window Cleaning in 1993 with a simple goal: to build a company that provides exceptional service while making a positive impact in the community. What began as a small window cleaning business has grown into one of Idaho’s most comprehensive home and exterior cleaning service companies. Through Greg’s vision and leadership, Sunshine expanded over the years to offer a wide range of services including window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, ultrasonic blind cleaning, house cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, and more. Today, while Greg is mostly retired from daily operations, the company continues to grow and serve customers throughout Boise and the Treasure Valley thanks to the strong foundation he built.
Greg has also been deeply involved in the professional window cleaning industry. He served for many years on the board of the International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA) and later served as its President. During his presidency, Greg founded the International Window Cleaning Legacy Foundation (IWCLF), an organization dedicated to strengthening the industry through safety, education, and support for window cleaning professionals. The IWCLF works to provide financial assistance to companies and workers experiencing hardship, expand education and training within the industry, and promote research and safety leadership to help eliminate fatalities and reduce accidents in the field. Programs supported by the IWCLF include the IWCA Member Scholarship, the International Outreach Program, which provides equipment and training to developing regions, and the Continuing Legacy Program, which offers financial support to workers, companies, or families facing economic hardship due to injury or loss.
Greg’s favorite part of owning Sunshine has always been the people. He has enjoyed building relationships with customers, working alongside his team, and staying involved in the local community. Greg attended Northwest Nazarene University and Boise State University, where his interest in business first began. His faith has always been an important part of his life, and he believes every day is a gift. Greg hopes the legacy he leaves through Sunshine is one of service — to customers, employees, the window cleaning industry, and the community he has called home for so many years.
Janelle Davis has over 22 years of experience in the cleaning and home services industry and has been a driving force behind the growth of Sunshine Window Cleaning for more than 15 years. As CEO and Co-Owner, Janelle helps lead the company’s vision, operations, and long-term growth throughout Boise and the Treasure Valley. She originally began working in the field as Operations Manager, gaining valuable hands-on experience while helping strengthen the company’s systems and team culture. With mentorship from Sunshine’s founder, Greg Reid, Janelle developed her leadership and business skills while continuing her education. She graduated from the College of Western Idaho with an Associate of Applied Science in Business Technology, with a double emphasis in Accounting and Marketing, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Over the years, she has helped Sunshine expand its services and operations while maintaining the company’s commitment to quality, reliability, and customer care.
One of Janelle’s proudest accomplishments was helping launch Sunshine’s house cleaning division, which has become an important part of the company’s growth and ability to serve customers with a more complete range of services. Today, she focuses on building a strong team, creating efficient systems, and ensuring Sunshine continues to deliver exceptional service across every division, including window cleaning, house cleaning, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, blind cleaning, and holiday lighting.
Outside of work, Janelle is a proud mother to her daughter, Lilymae, who inspires her every day. She is also a creative at heart and enjoys oil painting landscapes, writing poetry and music, and playing several instruments including the piano, guitar, ukulele, and trombone. Janelle believes small businesses play an important role in strengthening local communities and is passionate about creating meaningful jobs while continuing to grow Sunshine Window Cleaning into one of Idaho’s most trusted home service companies. Janelle has also been a longtime member of the International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA), staying actively engaged with industry education and professional development.
James Bruce Wakeman serves as the General Manager of Sunshine Window Cleaning, where he oversees daily operations and helps guide the continued growth of the company. Sunshine Window Cleaning provides a wide range of home and business services throughout the Treasure Valley, including window cleaning, janitorial services, minor repairs, and dryer vent cleaning. In his role, James leads employee meetings, manages hiring and HR processes, supports training and customer service, and serves as the company’s primary estimator while overseeing both office and field staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
James has been part of the Sunshine team since 2018, previously serving as Assistant Manager and HR Manager before stepping into his current leadership role. A graduate of Boise State University with a degree in Finance and a minor in History, he has been proud to help grow Sunshine from a smaller operation into one of the area’s leading service providers. A longtime Treasure Valley local who has lived in Boise, Meridian, and now Kuna, James enjoys snowboarding, reading, fantasy football, and video games. Above all, he values spending time with his wife and their young son, Renly, who remain his greatest source of joy and motivation.
Brad Whitehall has been a key part of Sunshine Window Cleaning since 2017 and plays a major role in the success of our company. As Operations Manager, Brad helps keep everything running smoothly while also setting the standard for hard work and professionalism in the field. Known for his outstanding attendance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic, Brad leads by example every day. He helps train new team members, supports our crews in the field, and ensures our customers receive the high-quality service Sunshine Window Cleaning is known for throughout Boise and the Treasure Valley.
Outside of work, Brad is a devoted father to his two children, a son and a daughter, and works hard to provide for his family. When he’s not on the job, he enjoys working on cars and tackling hands-on projects. Brad has always been someone who enjoys building, fixing, and figuring things out, which makes him especially skilled in the work he does every day. His character, work ethic, and commitment to both his family and his team are just a few of the reasons Sunshine wouldn’t be what it is today without him.
